I have entered a new phase in my life after over 40 years of absence from my native country of Colombia. Saddened by the reality of the armed drug conflict there that has existed for over 50 years, I am determined to do what I can to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable, the Colombian children. Along with committed others, we are in the process of forming a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to meet the needs of these voiceless and forgotten children.
This new foundation is called Ue Sua which means House of the Sun in the ancient Muisca language. Until the nonprofit status of Ue Sua is granted, the foundation is operating under the umbrella of the 501(c)(3) Foundation Medicine of the Soul. All contributions made to Ue Sua through Medicine of the Soul are tax deductible.
Please join us for Ue Sua’s first fundraising event on Saturday, September 19 in Encinitas. Download a flyer about the event…
I support charities and nonprofit organizations such as the San Diego Cancer Research Institute in San Diego and Posada De Moises in Medellin which helps children who have been displaced due to the drug conflict there.
I also support Instituto Para Ninos Ciegos in Bogota, Colombia. Below is a slide presentation on the wonderful work this organization does with blind children.
